RECEPTION & YEAR 1 ENGLISH TEACHER

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary English Teacher to join our Primary team. It also includes providing additional support to pupils and covering classes when required.
As a Primary Teacher, you will:
· Teach pupils in English
· Work collaboratively with a French-speaking co-teacher
· Plan schemes of work and sequences of lessons in line with the French National Curriculum and the school’s enhanced
English programme
· Assess pupils and maintain accurate assessment records
· Participate in staff, pedagogical and pupil progress meetings
· Work collaboratively with colleagues, coordinators and the Headteacher
· Initiate and contribute to cross-curricular projects
· Maintain regular communication with parents, colleagues and the leadership team to support pupil progress and wellbeing
· Participate fully in school life, including events such as Open Days, Sports Day, school fairs, educational trips and performances (e.g. Christmas productions)
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
· Proven experience teaching at Primary level
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a level 3 in Early Years
· Experience of the French education system is desirable but not essential
· Experience of the British education system is desirable but not essential
· Strong understanding of safeguarding practices

· Ability to contribute to and lead projects within a team
· Experience teaching abroad, particularly in a bilingual setting, would be an advantage
