HEALTHY EATING WEEK - 14th June - 18th June 2021

Emma Getty - 09 Jun 2021

Healthy Eating Week 2021

14th June – 18th June

Today’s Wellbeing Wednesday is all about healthy eating! Next week is Healthy Eating Week, an annual event created by the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF). It’s a week to celebrate healthy living and to encourage people to make positive changes to their lifestyle. Healthy Eating Week aims to promote healthy eating, drinking and physical activity. By doing all these we hope that everyone can achieve a healthier way of living. Each year the BNF release a new set of health aims. They have 7, one for each day of the week, and draw focus to one of them each day.

The GOAL is to try new things each day. By trying new things and finding what we enjoy, we can make slight adjustments that work towards a significant health impact.

Healthy Eating Week 2021 will focus on:

  1. Eating more whole grains
  2. Varying your vegetables
  3. Drinking plenty of water
  4. Moving more
  5. Being kind to your mind
  6. Getting active together
  7. Healthy eating together

POSTER CHALLENGE!

Why not make a poster for Healthy Eating Week – please bring them to me and I will display them around the school. Make them with your siblings or parents or friends and talk about the ways that you can make a change to your lifestyle. Use lots of colour, pictures and focus on the 7 health aims – good luck and have fun!

Enjoy the sunshine and take good care,
