Wellbeing Wednesday - Sharing Joy and Kindness This December
03 Dec 2025
As we enter one of the most magical times of the year, this week’s Wellbeing Wednesday shines a light on celebration, kindness, and connection. December brings joy, anticipation, and togetherness, and at École Jacques Prévert we are delighted to embrace this spirit through meaningful activities that support our pupils’ wellbeing and reinforce our shared values.
Christmas Concerts: Sharing Joy Through Music
Our Christmas concerts are fast approaching, and the school is already filled with rehearsals and festive melodies. These concerts offer children the chance to express themselves creatively, build confidence, and experience the joy of performing together.
Music has a wonderful ability to lift spirits and strengthen community which is something we value deeply at our school.
Festive Outings – Pantomimes and Plays
This month, classes will enjoy exciting Christmas outings to pantomimes and theatrical performances across London.
These cultural experiences enrich our pupils’ learning, spark imagination, and create shared memories that last long after the curtain falls. Such outings nurture curiosity, teamwork, and the sense of belonging that makes École Jacques Prévert a special place.
Thinking of Others Advent Calendar
Throughout December, we invite families to join us in our Thinking of Others Advent Calendar, a daily challenge that encourages simple acts of kindness at home as well as at school. Whether it is writing a note of appreciation, helping someone in need, or offering a smile to brighten someone’s day, these small gestures remind us that kindness is a gift we can give every day. By taking part as a family, you help reinforce our school values and celebrate the generosity of spirit that lies at the heart of the festive season.
Christmas Jumper Day – Thursday 11th December
We look forward to celebrating Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 11th December as part of the national fundraising event in support of Save the Children. By taking part, our school community helps raise both awareness and vital funds for children around the world. Whether colourful, sparkly, or wonderfully quirky, each jumper worn contributes to this important cause. It is a fun and festive way to show compassion and to remind pupils that their actions, big or small, can make a meaningful difference.

The Importance of Kindness and Connection
At this busy time of year, it is more important than ever to pause and recognise what truly matters: being kind, supporting one another, and enjoying time with the people we love.
All our December activities, from concerts to outings to acts of kindness, help nurture a caring, joyful, and inclusive school community where every child feels valued.
Wishing all our families a warm, connected, and joyful holiday as we continue celebrating this special season together.
Best wishes for this festive season,
Mrs Weber
