Wellbeing Wednesday - Charity Causes for Christmas & Kindness December Calendar

Wellbeing Wednesday
Charity Causes for Christmas & Kindness December Calendar

Christmas is on its way! Only 25 days to go to be precise from today! We wanted to inform you about some of the wonderful causes that are working hard over Christmas to raise money or send gifts to those in need.

Here are some ideas of charity causes we can focus our efforts in the run up to Christmas for those who would like some more information and guidance.

1. We will be taking part in Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 8th December 2022 in support of Save the Children - information has been posted on your child’s Google classroom, including how to make donations online.

2. This year again, we are excited to take part in the Brook Green Living Advent Calendar, organised by Friends of Brook Green in support of West London Action for Children.

3. We hope to support Great Ormond Street Hospital this Christmas again. This will be organised by the APEEF and communication will follow from directly.

With the Autumn nights drawing in, we would like to invite you to take part in our Acts of Kindness December Calendar - this will be posted on your child's Google Classroom. The aim is to draw attention to the little joys in life that can sometimes be overlooked at this busy time of year and look after people around us. It is also important to appreciate that giving and caring for others in the community, makes us feel good and contributes to our own wellbeing.

We would love to see what you have been getting up to at home, so please do not hesitate to upload any photographs of you and your family completing the daily acts of kindness onto your child’s Google Classroom, so that form tutors can share with the children in class. We hope to make a kindness display to celebrate how we look after ourselves and others at Ecole Jacques Prévert.

We hope you enjoy connecting with loved ones, getting cosy and look forward to seeing what you have been up to.
